Xpeng Motors Australia is set to end 2026 with 66 retail locations in Australia through which it’ll offer three models, as the Chinese brand grows its local presence under a factory-backed operation.
By the end of this year, it’ll have 66 sites across every state and territory, with the L03 mid-size electrified SUV set to arrive in showrooms before year’s end as the brand’s third model here.
Xpeng's G9L large flagship SUV (for now) will follow it on sale early in 2027, with pricing yet to be announced. Also due to arrive in 2027 is the even larger GX electrified SUV.
After the brand was launched here in late 2024 by independent Australian distributor TrueEV with the G6 mid-size electric SUV – a partnership that ended in acrimony and a Federal Court battle – Xpeng Motors Australia (Xpeng ANZ) has been busily growing its lineup.

An updated G6 arrived earlier this year, followed by the X9 people mover. While both models are offered here exclusively with electric power, the L03 and G9L will be available with both electric vehicle (EV) and extended-range electric vehicle (EREV) powertrains.
Xpeng’s upcoming flagship SUV, the GX – or whatever it’ll be called here, given it shares its name with a large Lexus SUV – is offered in China as either an EV or EREV, too.
Pricing and specifications for the local G9L and GX lineups have yet to be announced.
Xpeng ANZ vowed in August to honour promises made to customers by the brand's previous distributor, including $5000 cashback offers, 10-year promotional warranties, and free servicing offers.

It says it has now processed more than 1400 customer enquiries, resolving 250 cases related to promotional offers from TrueEV.
"We're proud of the work we've done to support existing buyers and the growing fleet of new Xpeng owners, but we're only just getting started,” Xpeng ANZ national aftersales manager Shaun Anthony said in a press release.
"Our local customer service team is ready to handle any remaining promotional offers, and to support Xpeng's growth in Australia and New Zealand."
Xpeng ANZ is calling on customers who purchased vehicles through TrueEV and who were promised any of the aforementioned commitments to contact it on auscustomercare@xiaopeng.com, providing their name, vehicle details, proof of purchase, and any documentation of the commitments made to them.

The company is backing all its vehicles with seven-year, unlimited-kilometre warranties for the vehicle itself (for private owners, including those who bought via TrueEV) including for anti-corrosion and anti-rust.
The battery, battery management system and electric motors are backed for 160,000km and either seven years (commercial users) or eight years (private buyers), while the paint has a separate five-year, unlimited-kilometre warranty.
Xpeng opened a genuine parts warehouse in Melbourne back in June, managed in partnership with FedEx, with Sydney, Adelaide and Melbourne receiving next-day delivery of parts, and Brisbane receiving next-day delivery for urgent orders and two-day delivery of standard orders.

The company hasn’t confirmed how much of a wait there is for spare parts in other locations.
Since June, when Xpeng ANZ started reporting sales figures in monthly VFACTS industry sales reports, the company has delivered 1183 vehicles: 1096 G6 SUVs and 87 X9s. That's more than rivals Deepal (924) and Leapmotor (1168), which also arrived in Australia in 2024 and have similarly small lineups, but have been reporting their sales all year.
While the brand is expanding further upmarket with the likes of the X9 and upcoming G9L and GX, it’s also targeting more cost-conscious buyers with its new L03, priced from $41,900 before on-road costs.
It’ll give Xpeng another entry in the mid-size SUV segment, Australia’s largest by number and volume, with the L03 undercutting the top-selling Tesla Model Y and BYD Sealion 7. It even undercuts the third-best selling electric SUV in Australia, the mid-size budget-friendly Geely EX5, which is priced from $41,990 plus on-roads.
