Ford Australia will recall 1085 Ford Ranger utes and Ford Everest SUVs to fix an issue that may prevent the reversing camera image from appearing on the 10.1-inch centre touchscreen.
“Due to a manufacturing issue, the centre display screen may stop functioning and display a blank screen. This may result in the rear-view image not being displayed whilst reversing,” the official recall notice said.
“If the rear-view image is not displayed on the centre display screen while reversing the vehicle, this could increase the risk of an accident causing serious injury or death to persons located behind the vehicle.”

If you own an affected vehicle, you'll be contacted in writing by Ford and asked to contact an authorised dealer to have the fix carried out, free of charge.
If you have any further questions, you can contact the Ford Customer Relationship Centre on 13 36 73.
The Ranger was recalled in August 2026, when almost 14,000 vehicles made between 2025 and 2026 were affected by a side-airbag deployment issue, prompting a pause on sales of affected vehicles.
The issue saw the Ranger, which was Australia’s top-selling vehicle for the third consecutive year in 2025, post its lowest sales in four years in August 2026.

It recovered to top the charts once again in September, ahead of the Toyota RAV4 and Tesla Model Y.
The Everest was last recalled in July, alongside the Ranger, over an issue affecting the 10-speed automatic transmission.
Ford continues to issue more vehicle recalls than any other manufacturer in Australia.
The automaker told CarExpert last month, however, that the high number of recalls wasn’t harming its reputation, with customer safety its priority.
