The second-generation Kia Seltos small SUV arrives as a hybrid-only affair, with prices starting from $39,990 drive-away.
A total of six variants will be offered in Australia – S, S with Safety Pack, Sport, Sport+, GT-Line FWD and GT-Line e-AWD – with only the flagship offering the Hyundai Motor Group's new electrified all-wheel drive system.
Front-wheel drive versions will get a 113kW/265Nm 1.6-litre naturally aspirated four-cylinder hybrid powertrain, while e-AWD models will add another electric motor on the rear axle for electrified AWD, with system power boosted to around 126kW – with no quoted torque figure.
Key rivals include the related Hyundai Kona Hybrid (from $39,990 D/A), in addition to the Toyota Corolla Cross Hybrid (from $37,440 plus on-roads), GWM Haval Jolion Hybrid (from $32,990 D/A), Chery C5 Hybrid (from $31,990 D/A), MG ZS Hybrid+ (from $29,990 D/A), Nissan Qashqai e-Power (from $45,850 + ORCs), and Jaecoo J5 SHS-H (from $34,990 D/A).
The price of entry into the Seltos range has risen by nearly $7000 compared to its petrol-only predecessor, though this is somewhat offset by the hybridised powertrain and increased equipment levels.

The Kia Seltos is currently unrated by ANCAP and sister firm Euro NCAP, though the brand's local team says it expects a rating during the early stages of 2027 based on European crash testing.

As with the related K4 range, Kia Australia says to expect a split four-star and five-star rating, with the base S likely to get the former, and the S with Safety Pack and up scoring the later.
