Ferrari is recalling a range of vehicles due to an issue with their brake fluid reservoir cap.
The recall affects 458 Italia, 458 Spider, 458 Speciale, 458 Speciale A, 488 GTB and 488 Spider from 2010 to 2019.
The notice also lists the J50.
“The brake fluid reservoir cap may provide insufficient ventilation to the brake fluid reservoir. This could cause a reduction in the vehicle’s braking ability,” the company says in its recall notice.
“Reduction of braking performance may increase the risk of an accident causing injury or death to vehicle occupants and other road users.”

If you own an affected vehicle, you’ll need to contact your preferred Ferrari dealership to organise a free replacement of the cap and have a software update performed for low brake fluid levels.
If you have any further questions, you can contact Ferrari Australasia 24/7 on 1800 234 392.
