UPDATED 14/10/2026: A spokesperson for Changan's local arm has confirmed the Nevo brand for an Australian launch sometime in 2027.
Chinese auto giant Changan – the parent company of Avatr and Deepal – has confirmed another one of its brands will expand its global footprint to Europe, as well as Australia.
At the Paris motor show this week, Changan confirmed a number of new models for selected European markets across its brands, including three all-new models from Nevo – the A06 sedan, as well as the Q05 and Q06 SUVs.
Set to go on sale in Spain from early 2027, with other European markets to follow, the Nevo Q05 electric SUV will be the first cab off the rank. Australia will receive its first Nevo-branded vehicles sometime in 2027, with further details on the local model range to come.
In other export markets like right-hand drive Thailand, the Q05 is powered by a 120kW/190Nm front-mounted electric motor, fed by a 51.9kWh LFP battery good for 462km of driving range on the less accurate NEDC test cycle.

According to Changan, the Nevo Q05 has been China's top-selling compact SUV for the past six months. At 4435mm long and 1855mm wide, it is slightly larger than a Hyundai Kona.
The larger Q06 SUV and A06 sedan were also shown in Paris, indicating the Chinese automaker's plans to also launch its mid-size models in the region.
Both can be had with battery electric (EV) or range-extended hybrid (EREV) powertrains, with the Q06 offering the exclusive option of dual-motor all-wheel drive in China.
CLTC range is rated at up to 620km for the A06 electric sedan in 62kWh form, while the Q06 offers up to 700km with its larger available 80kWh battery – both models have LFP batteries.

The Nevo A06 and Q06 are based on Changan's SDA electrified architecture, which also forms the basis of the Deepal E07 crossover-utility already sold in Australia – which is marketed under the Nevo brand in China.
During Changan's press conference at the Paris motor show, executive deputy general manager of Changan Europe, Ethan Yin, said the company has bold ambitions to open a European manufacturing facility capable of outputting 180,000 units by the end of 2028, and 350,000 units by 2030.
"We are in active discussions with our partners, and expect to announce the details before the end of this year," Mr Yin said during his presentation.
As for Australia, a spokesperson for Changan Automobile's local operation told CarExpert "Australia can expect Nevo's arrival in 2027".

Unlike Deepal, which is distributed by independent importer Inchcape, Avatr and Nevo will be distributed locally by factory-backed Changan operations.
Asked if there are any plans to take over Deepal in Australia, the company representative said: "Changan is currently focused on launching Avatr into the Australian market, as such there are no changes with Deepal".
Premium brand Avatr has promised to open pre-orders for its 07L electric SUV in Australia before the end of this year, with first deliveries to commence in 2027. Pricing and specifications are expected to be announced in late November or December.
CarExpert is waiting for a more detailed official statement from Changan around its local plans beyond the Avatr brand, so stay tuned for more news soon.
